Ashok Bhavan Veg Multi Cuisine Restaurant sits right at Kacheripadi Junction in Ernakulam. Being on Banerjee Road means we are right in the thick of things. The traffic is almost constant, and there’s always a crowd around 682018. We’ve been serving food here for a while, mostly to people who work in the nearby shops or commuters passing through the junction. It’s a vegetarian place, and we keep the menu pretty straightforward with the usual dishes people expect around here. We don’t have fancy decorations or a complicated theme. The tables are simple, and the floor gets swept a dozen times a day because of all the feet coming through. Our kitchen starts up early in the morning, and the smell of spices usually drifts out onto the street. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day and making sure the orders go out right. Sometimes we get a bit overwhelmed when the lunch rush hits, and people have to wait a few minutes for a seat. That’s just how it goes at a busy junction. We don't spend money on big posters or radio ads. Most of our regulars are folks who live nearby or work in Ernakulam and just want a quick, filling meal. We just try to keep the water cold and the food hot, nothing more and nothing less than that.
