Arabian Cafeteria

We are located at Bank Junction on MG Road, which is pretty much the heart of Kochi. It’s a very busy area, especially with Varkeys Supermarket right nearby. People are always rushing around, doing their shopping or heading to work. Our cafeteria is a small spot where people can duck in for a minute. We spend a lot of time making tea and snacks. The counter is usually crowded with people standing around. We don’t have much in the way of decor; it’s mostly just the essential equipment and some stools for people to sit on if there’s space. Every morning, we arrive early to get the first batch of things ready. The smell of the food starts to fill the street before most shops even open. Working on MG Road means you have to be fast because nobody here has a lot of time to waste. We have our hands full most of the afternoon. We don’t use any corporate talk or have big meetings. We just talk to each other across the kitchen and get things done. The floors get dirty fast with so many people coming in and out, so we are always sweeping. It’s a loud, busy, and sometimes stressful environment, but we’ve gotten used to it. We just try to keep the orders moving and make sure everyone gets what they asked for before they head back out.
