Common Ground Restaurant & Cafe

Common Ground Restaurant & Cafe sits right on Sewarg Ashram Road in Mcleod Ganj. Being part of the Common Ground Society means there is usually a mix of local people and travelers hanging around. Dharamshala weather is a bit unpredictable, so we spend a lot of time watching the clouds from the windows. The cafe isn't a fancy place, just some tables and chairs where people can sit for a while. Our address is 176219 Mcleod Ganj, and you have to walk up the hill a bit to get here. The kitchen stays pretty busy with the smell of coffee and whatever is cooking for lunch. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us making sure people get their food and the tables stay clean. Sometimes the power goes out in the mountains, and we just have to wait it out with everyone else. It is a simple spot for people who are passing through or living nearby. We go through a lot of tea and coffee every day. The floors are wooden and they creak a bit when you walk across them. It feels like a real part of the neighborhood. We focus on the daily tasks, like washing the cups and making sure the door stays open for whoever wants to come in. It is just a normal day-to-day life here on the road. Nothing too complicated about it. We just do the work.
