Pine Valley Restaurant

We are located inside Hotel Pine Valley on the main Mcleodganj Road in Dharamsala. The restaurant sits right on Cantt Road, so we get a lot of people passing through on their way up the mountain. It’s a beautiful spot, though the weather can be a bit unpredictable up here. Sometimes the clouds come right down to the road. We serve both the people staying in the hotel and locals who just want a meal. The kitchen stays pretty busy because we try to have a bit of everything for the travelers. It’s not a very formal place. We want people to feel like they can kick off their boots and relax after a long walk or a drive. The view outside is one of the best parts, but we focus more on what’s happening on the plates. We have a small group of cooks who have lived in Dharamsala their whole lives. They know what people like to eat when it’s cold outside. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here a while and people know where to find us. It can get a bit hectic during the tourist season, but we just take it one order at a time. It’s a quiet, practical place to eat while you’re visiting the hills. We try to keep the atmosphere calm so you can enjoy the mountain air while you eat.
