Umiya Dining Hall

Our dining hall is right in the Spandan Building on Mundra Road in Bhuj. If you know where Zayka Restaurant is, we are just a short walk from there. It’s a busy part of town, especially around lunchtime when everyone is out and about. We started this place because we wanted a simple spot for people to sit down and eat without any fuss. The tables are basic, the chairs are sturdy, and the kitchen is always moving. You can hear the pots and pans clanking from the back early in the morning as the prep starts. We mostly serve people who work nearby or travelers passing through Bhuj. The heat here can be tough, so we make sure the fans are always running at full speed. It gets pretty loud when the room is full, but that’s just how it is. We don’t have a massive menu, just the things we know how to make well. The staff consists of a few locals who know most of the regulars by name. We’ve been in this building for some time now, and we’ve seen shops come and go around us on Mundra Road. It’s a steady kind of life. We open up, get the food ready, and wait for the first crowd to show up. It isn't anything fancy, just a plain dining hall where you can get a meal and a bit of shade. Most of the people who come here aren't looking for anything but a full stomach.
