Sainath Dining Hall

Sainath Dining Hall is over here in Gandhidham, right across from Navjivan Hospital near Prabhat Chowk. We’ve been here for a while now, just serving food to whoever walks through the door. It’s a busy spot because of the hospital and the general area around the chowk. People come in when they are hungry, sometimes they are in a hurry and sometimes they just want to sit down for a bit. We keep the place running every day, making sure there is enough food ready. It’s not a fancy place, just a dining hall where the tables are set and the kitchen stays busy. We see a lot of different faces, from locals who live nearby to folks who are just visiting the hospital. The staff here mostly knows what needs to be done without being told. We clean up, we cook, and we serve. That is pretty much the whole story. Some days are louder than others, especially during lunch when everyone seems to arrive at the same time. We don’t have any big speeches or complicated rules. If you’re near Prabhat Chowk and need a meal, this is where we are. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the food is out on time. It is a lot of work to manage a kitchen, but we are used to it by now. The neighborhood is okay and we like being part of it.
