Sardar Doon Public School

Sardar Doon Public School is located in the Sardarpura area of Jodhpur. Being in this part of the city means it’s always lively around us. Jodhpur gets very hot, so a big part of our job is making sure the school stays as cool as possible for the students. We’ve been at this location for a good number of years. It’s a regular building with several floors, and we use every bit of space we have. We don’t have a professional writer to do our descriptions, so this is just us telling it like it is. Every morning begins with the sound of buses and parents dropping off their children. It’s a bit of a rush until everyone is in their seats. We spend our time managing the staff, looking over the books, and making sure the building is secure. Sometimes we have to deal with the dust that blows in from the street, which means a lot of dusting and mopping. We are just local people running a local school. We know the people who own the shops nearby and we feel like part of the neighborhood. We don’t make big promises; we just try to make sure the kids have a decent place to study every day. It’s a lot of small tasks that add up to a very long day for us.
