Saraswati Madhyamik Vidyalaya

You’ll find Saraswati Madhyamik Vidyalaya over in Ward No-5 of Sewki Kallan, inside the Bawri Block area of Jodhpur. It’s a bit of a way out from the main city hub, which actually makes it a quiet place for a school. We’ve been serving the local village families for quite some time now. The building is a simple structure, which is typical for this part of Rajasthan. We have students coming in from all around the Sewki Kallan area. Most of them walk here or come on their family bikes in the morning. We focus on middle school education, getting them through those important years before they have to head off to bigger towns for their high school studies. The classrooms are basic but they stay relatively cool during the day because of the thick walls we have. We don't have any fancy computer labs or things like that, just books, benches, and teachers who know the students' families very well. Life here moves a bit slower than it does in the city. We have our daily assembly and then get straight into the lessons. Sometimes the goats from nearby wander a bit too close to the main gate, but that’s just life in the village. We take pride in being a reliable spot for the kids here to get their basic education without having to travel many miles away. It’s a community effort mostly, and we just keep things running day by day as best as we can for everyone involved.
