Eklavya Academy Sr School

If you head down Banar Road in Jodhpur, you’ll find us in the Prem Nagar area. Eklavya Academy has been part of this neighborhood for a while now. The school day starts early because of the heat in Rajasthan, so we’re usually all here before the sun gets too high. It’s a senior school, so we deal with teenagers who are starting to think about their futures and what they want to do after they finish here. The classrooms are simple, and we try to keep things organized despite the dusty wind that blows through Banar sometimes. We have a lot of local families sending their children to us, and it’s common to see siblings following each other through the grades. We don’t have a massive staff, but the people who are here really put in the hours. It’s a lot of grading papers and making sure the kids stay on track with their studies. Jodhpur is a lively city, and our corner of it feels like its own little world once the gates close. We focus on the basics and try to make sure the students understand what they’re reading. There isn’t much fluff about how we operate. It’s just a school where we try to get through the curriculum and help the kids grow up a bit. Every year feels a bit different, but the daily work is always consistent.
