Thakur Jagdev Architect is located out near the Chief Engineer’s office in the Jalandhar Cantt area. It’s a bit different working out here compared to the main city. Things are generally a bit more quiet and there’s a sense of order to the Jalandhar Zone that you don't find elsewhere. We’ve been operating from this location for a long time. Our office is a practical space. We have our drawing boards and our computers, and that’s about it. We aren't here to impress anyone with expensive furniture. We just focus on the projects that come across our desks. Most of the work involves technical drawings and making sure everything complies with the Cantt regulations. Those rules can be quite strict, so we spend a lot of time double-checking our measurements. If we get a number wrong, it causes a lot of trouble for the client later on. We handle a mix of different jobs. Sometimes it’s something small, other times it’s more involved. We don't have a large staff. It’s a small, hands-on operation. We talk to people plainly about their plans and what they can expect. There isn't any sales talk here. We just show up, do the work, and go home. Jalandhar Cantt is a good place to be based. It’s got a particular character that we’ve grown fond of over the years. We just keep our heads down and get the sketches finished for whoever needs them.
