Anshu Kohli Architect

I run my architecture practice out of Vasant Vihar Extension in Jalandhar City. The address is number 27, and it’s quite close to UE-II. It is a residential kind of neighborhood, which I like because it keeps things calm. As Anshu Kohli Architect, I’ve worked on a variety of houses and some smaller commercial spots around town. My day usually starts early with a walk through some of the active sites to see how the masons are doing. By ten, I’m usually back at my desk. I don't use a lot of high-tech gadgets, mostly just my computer and my drafting board. I’ve found that most people in Jalandhar just want a house that feels solid and stays cool in the summer. I try to focus on that. It’s not about making a statement; it’s about making a home that works for the family living there. Sometimes the discussions with clients go on for hours over several cups of tea. We talk about where the windows should go or how the porch will look. I’ve lived in this city for a long time, so I understand the weather and the way people here like to live. It’s a one-on-one kind of business, and that’s how I prefer to keep it. No big offices, just me and the work that needs finishing.
