About Duggal Navjot Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Jalandhar
I operate my architecture practice from H.No.131 in Door Darshan Enclave, Phase-1. It’s located in Lane-2, which is a quiet residential street with a lot of trees. Being an architect here is a bit different than working in a big city office. I use one of the rooms in the house as my studio. It’s filled with drafting boards, old rolls of ammonia prints, and a lot of pens that always seem to run out of ink when I’m in the middle of a drawing. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so I know the local building rules and the type of soil we have around here. People just call me Navjot, and they usually drop by after seeing a house I designed in the neighborhood. I don't have a big staff, so I do most of the work myself, from the first sketch on paper to the final site visit. It can be exhausting when I have three projects going on at once, but I like being involved in all the details. Sometimes I spend hours just trying to figure out how to fit a staircase into a tight corner. I don't use a lot of fancy 3D software; I still prefer drawing by hand when I can. The enclave is a nice place to work because it’s peaceful. I can hear the birds in the morning while I work on my designs. It’s a humble setup, but it allows me to focus on the buildings.
