About Kapur Shruti H. Architect – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Jalandhar
I’ve been running things here at 28-A in Bank Enclave for some time. Being an architect like me involves a lot of sitting at a desk and staring at a computer screen or a drawing board. The office isn't anything special, just a workspace where I get things done. Sometimes clients drop by to talk about their plans, and we sit around the old table and look at sketches. I handle most of the design work myself. It's a lot of back and forth with permits and local rules, which can be a bit of a headache. Bank Enclave is a quiet enough place to work, though traffic can get loud outside sometimes. I don't have a big team or anything. It's mostly me doing the layouts and making sure the dimensions make sense. Architecture is basically solving puzzles with space and light. I try to be practical about things. If a wall doesn't need to be there, I'll say so. It’s about making a space work for whoever is going to live there. Sometimes I spend hours just thinking about a doorway. People have different ideas of what they want, and I just try to put those ideas on paper. It's a steady job. I’ve lived and worked around here long enough to know how things go. Just plain, honest work every day at the office.
