Jain Disha Architect

The office for Jain Disha Architect is at 360, Bharat Nagar. It’s a typical local setup where we spend most of our mornings drinking coffee and looking over the latest set of drawings. Bharat Nagar is a familiar place to us, and being at number 360 means we’re right in the middle of things. The workspace is filled with the usual stuff you’d expect—computers, old rulers, and stacks of folders that seem to multiply on their own. We don’t put on any acts here. When someone walks in, they see exactly what we’re working on. We do a lot of residential work, so we’re often talking about things like where a window should go or how to make a kitchen feel less crowded. It’s practical stuff that matters to people living in the houses we design. We’ve had some long nights at this address, especially when a project is just starting or when we’re trying to meet a city deadline. The light stays on late sometimes, and the neighbors probably wonder if we ever go home. We like being part of the community here and seeing the houses we worked on when we’re driving around. It isn't a fancy life, but it’s interesting work. We take things one day at a time and try to make sure every line we draw makes sense for the person who’s going to live there.
