New Aarti

If you know Johari Bazar, you know how tight the lanes can get. We are located at 104, right at the 1st Crossing on Ghee Walon Ka Rasta. It is a name that sounds a bit old-fashioned, but that’s just how this part of the city is. New Aarti has been part of this neighborhood for a while. The street is always filled with the smell of food and the sound of scooters honking at each other. Our shop isn't massive, but we make the most of the space we have. There are shelves reaching up to the ceiling because there’s nowhere else to put things. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a person is looking for in the back. We don’t have a fancy entrance or any neon signs. It’s just a regular door in a very busy lane. Most of our day is spent talking to neighbors or sorting through the latest arrivals. We like the rhythm of Johari Bazar, even when it gets too loud to hear yourself think. The floors are a bit worn down from people walking in and out over the years. We haven't felt the need to change much because it works for us. It is just a local business trying to stay organized in the middle of all the chaos. We get our tea from the stall around the corner and just keep things going one day at a time.
