You can find Agarwal Tant House and Agarwal Caters over at 203-204, Dhabai Ji Ka Khrra. We are tucked in near Badi Choupad, which is one of the busiest parts of Jaipur. If you've ever been around the GPO area, you know the traffic is a nightmare. We spend our mornings loading up the big trucks with metal poles, heavy colorful fabrics, and huge cooking pots. It’s a lot of sweat and heavy lifting. When there is a wedding or a big function, we are usually the first ones there and the last ones to leave. The office at Dhabai Ji Ka Khrra is usually messy with samples of tent cloth and lists of menu items. We do both the catering and the tent setups, so it’s double the work. My clothes usually smell like woodsmoke or spices by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s mostly just a place where we keep the gear and talk to families about their events. The streets are so narrow that we have to be careful not to block the whole road when we unload the chairs. It’s been this way for years. We just keep going, season after season, making sure the food is hot and the tents stay up even if it gets windy. It’s just us doing what we know how to do in the middle of Jaipur.
