Farmaiesh Caters

Farmaiesh Caters is tucked away at 581, Haldiyon Ka Rasta. This is inside Johari Bazar, which is world famous for its jewelry. But back in the lanes like Haldiyon Ka Rasta, it is a different world. It is very narrow. You can barely fit a car through some parts, so mostly it is people walking or riding bicycles. The Jaipur GPO is not far away, which is handy for mail. Our building at 581 is old and has that classic Jaipur architecture. The walls are thick stone. In the afternoon, the light filters down between the high buildings. It is a very busy area. There are people selling everything you can imagine. The air is thick with the smell of the market. We have been in Johari Bazar for a long time. It is a maze, and if you do not live here, you might get lost. But we know every turn. The stones on the ground are worn smooth from all the feet walking over them for hundreds of years. We do our catering work from this central spot. It is hard to get the big pots and pans through the crowd sometimes, but we manage. It is just the way things are done in the old city. We do not have a big storefront. We just have our space where we do the cooking and the prep. We start early and stay until the work is finished for the night.
