If you head towards the Kalimandir in Hengrabari, you’ll find us easily. We are situated right in that neighborhood, away from the really heavy traffic of the main Guwahati roads. It makes for a bit of a quieter workday, which I think we all appreciate. The shop is small and has been here for a long time. It was started by family, and we just keep it running the same way it always has been. We have the usual chairs and the sound of the radio playing in the background most of the time. We don't have any air conditioning, just the windows and a ceiling fan that hums. Most of our clients are neighbors who have lived in Hengrabari for decades. We see their kids grow up and then they start coming in for their own haircuts. It’s a nice cycle to see. We don't use any fancy gels or expensive shampoos. We just use what works and keep things clean. Sometimes the rain gets pretty heavy and the street outside floods a bit, so we have to put a barrier at the door. But otherwise, it is a very steady and quiet place to work. We enjoy the conversations we have with everyone who sits in our chairs. It isn't just about the hair; it is about staying connected with the people around here.
