Ajay Hair Cutting Saloon

I have my hair cutting shop located in Gosala Bazar, right on Station Road in Maligaon Chariali. It has been my workplace here in Guwahati for a long time now. The shop is quite small, with just enough room for two chairs and a small wooden table for my tools. I mostly do haircuts and shaves for the men who work around the railway station or live in the nearby houses. Maligaon is always a busy place with lots of traffic and people moving about the bazar. You can always hear the trains whistling and the sounds of the market from inside the shop while I work. I do not have any helpers, so I do everything myself from cutting hair to cleaning the floor at the end of the day. The walls are painted a dull blue and I have some old posters of movie stars up to make it look a bit better for the customers. I keep my scissors and razors in a wooden box that my father gave me when I started. It is not a modern salon with fancy lights, just a basic place to get a clean shave. Many of my customers have been coming to me for years and we talk about the local news or how the trains are running late. I open early in the morning and stay until the market starts to quiet down at night.
