Anjali Hair Cutting Saloon

Anjali Hair Cutting Saloon is located on the Main Road in Dharapur, Guwahati. It is a straight drive down the road and you can’t really miss it if you are looking for the sign. The shop is quite humble. We have some older wooden cabinets where we store the capes and the spray bottles. I’ve been cutting hair here since I was a young man. The floor is made of simple cement and it has some cracks in it now, but it’s clean. We get a lot of farmers and local traders who come in from the surrounding areas. Dharapur is a bit quieter than the center of Guwahati, but the main road still gets its share of trucks. We have a big ceiling fan that wobbles a little when it’s on the highest setting. It makes a clicking sound that we’ve all grown used to. There is a small mirror for the customers to check the back of their head when we are finished. We don't use many chemicals or fancy sprays here. Just water and a bit of oil if requested. Most of the talk in the shop is about the weather or the price of goods in the market. It’s a place where you can just sit and relax for twenty minutes. We keep things honest and simple. That’s how we’ve always done it here in Dharapur. We open every day except for some festivals.
