Payal Hair Style Saloon

Payal Hair Style Saloon is located in South Sarania, Ulubari. You can find us on Dr B K Kakoti Road here in Guwahati. We have been at this spot for a long time now. It is a small shop, but we have managed to make it work for us. Most of our chairs and tools are things we have used for many years because they still work fine and we are used to them. We do basic haircuts and styling. Most people who come in just want something neat for their job or for school. We see a lot of students from the nearby areas. The road outside gets quite loud with all the traffic, but inside the shop, it’s mostly just the sound of the scissors and some light music. We keep a few chairs and a big mirror that has a few scratches but still shows everything clearly. We don't have any fancy website. People just show up when they need a trim. Sometimes there is a wait, so customers sit on the bench outside and watch the cars go by on the road. It is a very simple business. My father started this shop and now I am the one running it every day. We don’t try to be like those expensive places in the malls. We just cut hair. The monsoon season makes the floor a bit muddy, so we are always mopping up after people walk in.
