Mandals Hair Parlour

Mandals Hair Parlour is located in the Ganeshguri area, specifically on R G B Road. If you know Guwahati, you know how packed this road gets at almost any hour. Our shop is right in the thick of it. It’s a modest place where we focus on cutting hair for the local crowd. We’ve got the usual mirrors and the scent of talcum powder always hanging in the air. The space isn’t very large, so things can get a bit tight when there are three or four people waiting. We don’t have a fancy waiting lounge, just a few plastic chairs along the wall. The guys working here are all locals and we’ve been together for a long time. We know how the people in this neighborhood like their hair done. Whether it’s a simple trim or a complete change, we just get on with it. The R G Baruah Road is always buzzing with energy and we feel like a part of that. Sometimes we stay open a little later if someone comes in right at closing time. We don’t use any complicated booking systems; you just walk in and wait your turn like everyone else. It’s a very standard, no-nonsense hair parlour. We’ve seen the city change around us while we’ve stayed right here in Ganeshguri doing the same work day after day for all the people who stop by.
