Khusboo Hair Cutting Saloon

We’ve been here at Ganeshguri on Kahilipara Road for a while now. Most people know the spot because it’s right there on the way through Guwahati. It’s just a small place, nothing fancy, with the usual chairs and mirrors you’d expect at a hair cutting saloon. Every morning starts about the same, rolling up the shutters and getting the towels ready for the day. The traffic on Kahilipara Road gets pretty loud by mid-day, but inside it’s just the sound of the scissors and the fan going overhead. People from the neighborhood stop in, some for a quick trim and others just to sit for a bit while they wait their turn on the bench. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us who know how to handle a comb and a razor. The shop has that smell of aftershave and hair tonic that stays in the air. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on weekends, and people have to wait near the door. It’s a simple setup. We keep the mirrors clean and make sure the tools are sharp. There isn’t much to say about us other than we’re here every day, doing what we do. If you’re walking down the road in Ganeshguri, you’ll see the sign. It’s a local spot where the floor usually has some hair on it because we’re busy moving from one chair to the next.
