Kamakshya Hair Cutting Saloon

Kamakshya Hair Cutting Saloon is located in the Chachal area of Guwahati, right on the VIP Road near Khanapara. This is a part of town that has seen a lot of development lately. Our shop is one of those small, local businesses that has been around for a bit. We have a few chairs and some counters that hold our scissors, combs, and shaving brushes. The walls are painted a simple shade and we have some old posters up. Because we are on VIP Road, there are always cars and bikes passing by, which makes the shop feel like it’s right in the middle of everything. We open up every day and the first thing we do is clean the mirrors and sharpen the razors. Our customers come from all walks of life—some are students, some work in the nearby offices, and some are retirees who live in Chachal. We don’t offer anything fancy, just standard haircuts and shaves. There’s a small radio that we keep on low volume, mostly playing local music or the news. The shop gets quite warm in the afternoon, but we have the fans going. It’s a friendly place where you can hear a bit of local gossip while you wait your turn. We just do our best to give everyone a clean cut and get them back on their way. It is a simple business that fits right into the neighborhood.
