Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Farmers Producercompany Limited

This whole thing started at Jaglal Pendhari Choudhari’s place in Birsola. It's a small village in the Kati area of Gondiya. We named it after Mahatma Jyotiba Phule because he really meant a lot to farmers like us. We’re just a bunch of neighbors who decided to finally pool our resources together. Farming in Gondiya can be a bit of a gamble with the rain, so being a producer company helps us stay a bit more stable when things get rough. We spend most of our time out in the dirt, not sitting in some air-conditioned office. When we do need to meet, we just head over to the house in Birsola. It's a quiet place, mostly surrounded by green fields. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make sure we can sell our harvests for a fair price and buy what we need without getting overcharged by middle men. It's a simple way of working. Most of us have been farming since we were kids. It’s what our families have always done for generations. We handle the paperwork ourselves, which can be a bit of a chore sometimes, but it's part of the job now. If you’re ever out near Kati, you’ll probably see us working in the fields. We’re just regular people trying to do right by our families and the land we work on every day. It is not always easy but we keep going.
