Chavalnagri Agro Farmer Producer Companylimited is out in Ambhora Gondia. We are at 114, Ambhora Gondia and most people in the area know where that is. Our focus is really on the farmers here who are growing crops day in and day out. Gondia is a place where agriculture is the lifeblood of every household. We formed this group because we were tired of doing everything alone. When you are on your own, it’s hard to get a good price for what you grow or to find the right supplies. By coming together as a producer company, we have a bit more weight in the market. We share tools sometimes and we definitely share advice when things get difficult. The weather is always a gamble and we talk about that a lot over tea. Our place at number 114 is usually busy with people coming in to talk about their fields or check on how the sales are going. It’s not a corporate environment. There is usually some dust on the furniture and the smell of grain in the air. We keep our books as best as we can and try to make sure everyone gets their fair share. It's a lot of meetings in our small office space. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to make sure the farmers in Ambhora have a way to survive and maybe do a little better than they did last year.
