Arjuni Moregaon Global Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group, Arjuni Moregaon Global, is based in Chapali, which is part of the Arjuni area in Gondia district. We set things up at Shri Giridhar Pustode’s place. Even though the name sounds big with Global in it, we are really just a group of local farmers from the village. Most of our members spend their days in the fields and then come by the office when there is something to sign or a meeting to attend. It gets pretty hot out here, so we try to get most of the heavy work done early. The goal was just to have a common place where we could organize our harvests and maybe get a better price at the market. Gondia is known for its rice, so that takes up a lot of our time. We have a lot of small growers who joined up because they were tired of being pushed around by middlemen. It's a practical arrangement. We don’t have fancy furniture or a big staff. It's just Giridhar and some of the other guys keeping the books. Sometimes we have to travel a bit to get supplies, but having the company helps with the costs. If you’re ever passing through Tq Arjuni, you might see us working near the Chapali site. It’s a regular farming life, just with a bit more paperwork than our fathers had to deal with. We take it one day at a time and see how the season goes.
