New Dilli Darbar

We are located on EC Road right in the middle of Dehradun City. It is a busy street and we’ve been here long enough to see a lot of people come and go. Our place is basically a spot for people who want a good meal without any fuss. We cook a lot of different things, mostly biryanis and gravies that people seem to like. The shop isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit enough tables for the lunch crowd. We get a lot of students and office workers who are in a hurry. We try to get the food out fast, but we don't use a microwave or anything, it’s all from the stove. The kitchen is always a bit of a mess during peak hours, with steam everywhere and the smell of onions frying. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. It’s just us doing the cooking and serving. We use the same spice blends that we’ve used since we opened. Dehradun can be a bit quiet in the winters, but EC Road stays pretty active. We keep our doors open late most nights. Sometimes the power goes out, but we have some backup lights so people can finish their dinner. It is just a local business run by people who live nearby. We don't try to be a five-star hotel, just a reliable place for dinner. My son helps out with the deliveries on his scooter when it isn't raining too hard outside.
