High Landers Cottage

We started High Landers Cottage here on the bypass road in Rishikesh quite a few years back. The location is in High Bank, specifically near p.o Shivananda Nagar. It’s a bit of a hike from the main market, but that is why most people end up coming here. We aren’t trying to be a big hotel or anything. It is just a simple building with some rooms we rent out to travelers who want to be near the hills. We handle all the work ourselves, from changing the sheets to sweeping the front porch. The monkeys can be a bit of a nuisance if you leave food out, so we usually warn guests about that when they check in. There is plenty of greenery around, and you can see the trees from almost every window. We don’t have a big staff or a fancy dining hall. If you want tea, you usually just come find us in the back. The place is a bit old in some spots and the paint might be peeling here and there, but it is clean. Most folks find us by word of mouth or just by driving past on the bypass. We don't do much advertising. It is just a quiet spot for people to sleep. We try to keep things easy and don't have many rules as long as everyone is respectful of the space.
