Gaurav Vegetarion Restaurant

Our restaurant is at number 8 on Rajpur road in Dehradun. It is quite close to the clock tower, which everyone knows. We only serve vegetarian food here. My father opened this place because he wanted a spot where families could eat without spending too much money. The building is older and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but the kitchen is always busy. We have a few guys working the tables who have been with us for years. They know most of the people who come in by their first names. Since we are in Dehradun City, it gets a bit cold in the winter, so we keep the doors shut to stay warm inside. The 248001 area is always full of traffic and people walking, so it can be hard to find a place to park your scooter. We don't have a big fancy menu with pictures. It is just a list of the daal and vegetables we have that day. Sometimes we run out of certain things if the lunch rush is bigger than we thought. It is a honest way to make a living. We see a lot of students from the nearby schools too. They like the quick service and the fact that they can afford a full meal. We just keep doing what we do every day, serving food and cleaning up afterwards. It is a simple life on Rajpur road.
