China King Restaurant

China King Restaurant is at 33 Raipur Road in Dehradun. We are situated very close to St Josephs School. This means we get a lot of noise and energy from the students when school lets out. We have been here for a good number of years. The shop is not large. We have some tables arranged along the walls. We don't have a host to greet you at the door. You just walk in and find a seat. We handle the cooking and the cleaning ourselves. It is hard work but it is what we do every single day. Raipur Road is one of the main ways through town, so there is always movement outside. We spend our mornings getting the meat and vegetables ready for the day. We don't use any pre-made mixes or anything like that. It is all done from scratch in our kitchen. Sometimes the rain in Dehradun makes things slow down, and we just sit and wait for customers. Other times it is so busy we can hardly keep up. We don't have a fancy logo or any glossy menus. Everything is very basic here. We focus on getting the food to the table as fast as we can. We are not a corporate chain. It is just a small local spot where we put in the hours. We hope the food is enough for people to come back again. That is the way it has always been for us.
