Chanchal Restaurant

Our restaurant is over on Mata Mandir Road in Dehradun, right near the Dharampur Chowk. It is a very central part of the city, so there is always a lot of foot traffic right outside our front door. We have been here for years, and we have become a regular stop for many people who work in the local shops. The kitchen is the heart of the place, and it stays busy from the moment we open until we finally shut the lights off at night. We don't have any fancy furniture or expensive art on the walls. We just have sturdy tables and chairs that can handle a lot of use. We focus mostly on making the food the way we were taught by our parents. It is a lot of chopping and stirring and standing over a hot stove. We don't have a website or a social media page. We just rely on the fact that people know where we are and what we do. Sometimes the place gets a bit crowded and it feels a little chaotic, but we like the energy of a full dining room. We spend our downtime cleaning the counters and getting ready for the next rush of customers. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we are happy to be a part of the neighborhood. We don't use any corporate language because that’s just not who we are. Every day brings something new, and we enjoy seeing our regular customers come through the door.
