Vishnu Chamber Bricks

Vishnu Chamber Bricks is tucked away on Old Post Office Road, right at 2/1190. It is a quiet enough spot until the work starts. We handle the chamber method here, which means there is always something to look after, whether it is loading the bricks in or taking them out once they have cooled down. The work is heavy and it gets hot, but that is the nature of the brick business. We have a small crew and most of us have been doing this for years. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just take the raw material, shape it, and fire it until it is ready to go. The yard can get a bit messy, especially when it is busy and there are piles of broken bits here and there. We try to keep it organized, but with bricks, things always get a little dusty. Living and working on Old Post Office Road means we know the neighbors and the local drivers pretty well. Sometimes we sit around in the shade when the sun is too much and just talk about the next load. It isn't a high-tech operation, just hands and heat and a lot of patience. If the bricks come out right, we are happy. We just keep our heads down and do the work day after day, making sure the orders are ready when people come to pick them up from our yard.
