Rani Bricks

Rani Bricks is situated at 5/22, S.M Plm, near the Kanuvai Post area. We are a local outfit and we have been operating out of this spot for quite some time now. The area around Kanuvai Post is where we grew up and where we decided to set up our business. It is a pretty simple setup we have here. We don't go for anything flashy. Most of the day is spent out in the open, dealing with the clay and the kilns. It is hard on the back and the hands, but it’s honest work. We see the same faces every day, mostly locals who are building a small wall or maybe a house nearby. We don't do much in the way of advertising because people just know we are here. The dust gets into everything, even your tea if you aren't careful, but that’s part of the life. We work with the seasons. When it’s dry, we make as many bricks as we can. When it’s wet, we do the maintenance and wait for the sun to come back out. It is a slow pace sometimes, but it’s steady. We don't have any big corporate rules. We just treat people right and try to provide what they need. It is just us and the bricks, day in and day out, and we are fine with that.
