Raagam Bricks

We are over at 94, Thadagam Road. Raagam Bricks has been our life for a good while. The road gets a lot of traffic, but once you step into our yard, it’s all about the red clay and the kilns. We make bricks the way we were taught, without too much fuss. It is a messy business, and our hands are usually stained by the end of the shift. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us and the guys who help with the firing. We spend a lot of time checking the temperature and making sure the bricks don't warp in the heat. Thadagam Road is known for this kind of work, and we are proud to be one of the names here. People come by to pick up a few hundred bricks for a wall or a few thousand for a whole house. We treat everyone the same. Sometimes the trucks are late or the rain messes with the drying process, but that’s just life in this trade. We don't promise things we can't do. If the bricks aren't ready, we tell you they aren't ready. We value the relationships we have with the local masons. They know our quality and they know where to find us. It’s a simple operation, run by people who know what a good brick should feel like. We just keep our heads down and do the work as best as we can.
