Sri Palanimurugan Bricks

Sri Palanimurugan Bricks is based at 23, Thudiyalur Road. We are out in Chinnathadagam, and if you live nearby, you’ve probably seen the yard from the road. It’s a straightforward place where we make bricks from the local clay. We don’t have any big marketing plans or a sales team. It is just a few of us who show up every morning to get the kilns going. The work is hard on the body and the dust gets everywhere, but it’s what we’ve always done. You won't find any fancy offices here, just a small space to keep our tools and some records. We try to keep the stacks of bricks tidy at number 23, but it’s a working yard, so there’s always a bit of a mess. Chinnathadagam is a place where people appreciate a good day's work. We don't use any complicated systems to run things. It’s mostly just looking at the weather and deciding when to dry the bricks. Some days it rains and we have to cover everything up fast. Other days the sun is so hot it dries them quicker than we can move them. We don't talk much about goals or missions. We just want to make enough bricks for whoever is building something in the area. Thudiyalur Road is a busy enough place, and we are just happy to be a part of the landscape here.
