Devi Bricks Company is over at Plot No. 34 in Bharathiyar Nagar, Vadamadurai. We are situated right near the main market, so there is always a lot of bustle and noise around us. It’s a lively part of town and we like being right in the middle of the action. Our yard is where we store all our bricks, and it can get quite crowded when a new shipment is ready. The roads around the market are a bit narrow, so getting the big delivery trucks in and out takes some skill and patience. We’ve been working here for quite some time now and have a steady group of guys who help with the loading. We don’t have a website or any corporate branding. If someone needs bricks, they usually just walk in or give us a call on the phone. We spend our days managing the inventory and making sure the orders are ready for pickup. The work is dusty and hot, especially during the peak of summer, but we keep at it. Sometimes we have to deal with delays in getting raw materials, which can be frustrating when customers are waiting. We just try to keep everyone informed and do our best to catch up. It’s a very practical, local business. We know a lot of the builders in Vadamadurai and they know they can find us here every day, doing what we do.
