Our office is situated at G-2 in the Vaishnavee Apartment, right near Madhyanagari Chowk in Bilaspur. If you're familiar with the Idgaah area, you’ve probably passed by us without even realizing it. Lafarge India Pvt Ltd has had this spot in Chhattisgarh for a good bit now. Being near the chowk is convenient because everything is close, though it does get quite noisy with the horns and the general hustle of the market nearby. It’s a ground-floor unit, which makes it easier for people to drop by and for us to get out to site visits. Bilaspur is a growing place, and you can see new buildings going up all over the place. We’re right in the middle of that growth. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a few desks and a lot of maps of the surrounding districts. We spend most of our time tracking shipments and talking to contractors. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet gets slow, but that’s just life in this part of the world. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing. It’s a small team here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. From checking inventory to answering the local queries, there’s always something to stay busy with. We like being part of the local community here in Bilaspur and helping out with the regional supply needs.
