Lafargecement

Out here in Akaltara, specifically in the Puranibasti area, things move at a different pace. Lafargecement is situated at S/Omrphoolsinghbais, which is a bit of a mouthful for anyone not from around here. It’s a dusty spot, mostly because of the nature of what we deal with. We spend a lot of time outside or in the warehouse area. The heat in this part of the country is no joke, especially in the afternoons. We’ve got a small crew, and everyone knows everyone else’s business, for better or worse. We handle a lot of the heavy lifting. Literally. Cement bags and supplies are what we see all day long. It's not the kind of job where you wear a suit. Most of us are in boots and shirts that have seen better days. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just take orders and get the cement out to whoever needs it for their building projects. Sometimes the trucks are late because of the roads, and we have to sit around waiting, drinking tea. It’s just part of the life here. We’re glad to be a part of the Akaltara community. People know where to find us if they need stuff for a new wall or a floor. We aren't trying to be fancy, just useful. We know how important good materials are for local builders.
