You’ll find us right on the Borsad Vasad Highway. It’s a stretch of road that stays busy with trucks and cars moving between Anand and the surrounding areas. Umiya Krupa Kathiyawadi Hotel is a straightforward spot. We don't have any big neon signs or anything like that. People usually stop here because they’re hungry and they want something that reminds them of home. The kitchen is the heart of the place, and there’s always someone back there stirring a pot or rolling out dough. We get a lot of regulars, mostly drivers who have been stopping here for years. They know where to park and where their favorite table is. The air usually smells like spices and wood smoke. It’s a bit dusty because of the highway traffic, but we keep the tables wiped down and the water jugs filled. Life on the road is hard, so we try to make the hotel a place where people can just sit for a half-hour and forget about the drive. We’ve got a few rooms too, for those who can't go any further that night. They are basic, clean, and quiet enough to get some sleep. The family runs the place, so you’ll see the same faces every time you come through Borsad. It’s just what we do, day in and day out, making sure there’s food ready for whoever pulls off the highway.
