Avkul Restaurant

Avkul Restaurant is right across from the railway station in Vallabh Vidyanagar, Anand. It’s a very busy spot because of the station. We get a lot of travelers who are either just arriving or waiting for their train to show up. The station noise is a constant background to everything we do. We have simple tables and chairs, and the place is designed for people to sit down, eat quickly, and move on. Because we are in Vallabh Vidyanagar, we also see a lot of students from the nearby colleges. They usually come in groups and stay a bit longer than the travelers. We start our day very early because the first trains arrive before the sun is even up properly. There is a lot of cleaning to do every morning to get ready for the breakfast rush. We don't have a big menu with fancy names. We just serve what we have, and it's usually the same things every day. The kitchen is small, but we make it work. It gets very humid in the afternoons, especially during the monsoon season. We don't have air conditioning, just some ceiling fans that spin all day. It’s not a fancy place by any means, but it's a reliable spot for anyone who is hungry and near the tracks. We’ve been here long enough that most of the station staff know us by name. It's just a regular part of the neighborhood.
