Sajid Gems

Our shop, Sajid Gems, is right in the middle of Pith Bazar on Lal Darwaja Road. We are directly opposite the Udasi Bava Mandir, so we hear the temple bells and the prayers every single day. The bazar is always crowded with people, and the noise from the street never really stops. It’s a small space, packed with drawers and cases where we keep everything. There isn't much room to move around, especially when we have a couple of visitors at once. We spend a lot of time looking through small lenses and sorting through different stones. It’s tedious work that requires a lot of patience and good lighting. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in, and we have to spend our mornings wiping down the glass counters. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and we know most of the other shopkeepers on the road. It’s an honest way to make a living, even if the days are long and the space is cramped. We don't use fancy marketing or big signs. People usually find us because they know where we are or someone told them about the shop near the mandir. We just sit here, do our work, and talk to whoever walks through the door. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we wouldn't know how to do it any other way.
