If you head down Bhadran Road, you’ll see us right across from the Marketing Yard. G. M. Mistry Furnishers (P) Ltd. is the name on the papers, but mostly people just look for the gates opposite the yard. It’s a busy spot because of all the trucks and people coming to trade. There’s always someone shouting or a horn honking, which makes it hard to hear anything inside sometimes. We’ve got a decent-sized space here. The floor is usually covered in something, whether it’s sawdust or just the dirt that blows in from the road. We spend a lot of our day just checking lists and making sure the pieces are going to the right place. It’s a private limited company but it doesn't feel like some big corporate office. It feels like a workshop where things actually happen. The walls are a bit stained and the ceiling fans creak, but they work well enough to keep us from melting in the afternoon heat. We take our lunch when the marketing yard gets quiet, which isn't often. You get used to the rhythm of the road after a few years. We don't do much fancy talking here. If someone comes in, we just tell them what’s what. It’s just a regular place on a regular road doing what we know how to do. That's about all there is.
