Gagan Picnic Restaurant

Our restaurant, Gagan Picnic Restaurant, is located in the Cantonment area of Varanasi. The pincode for this part of the city is 221002. We’ve been in this location for a good while. It’s a bit quieter here in the Cantonment than it is down by the river or in the old city, which some people seem to like. We aren't a big chain or a fancy dining establishment. It’s just a regular local restaurant where you can come in and have a meal. We don't have a mission statement or any special philosophy. We just come in, start the stoves, and cook what’s on the menu. The place is pretty simple inside, just tables and chairs and a small staff. We get a lot of locals who live around here and also some people who are visiting Varanasi for a few days. We don't spend any time on social media or advertising. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here and people know our name. It’s a honest living and we just keep it practical. The kitchen stays busy during the lunch and dinner hours, and we just do our work. It’s not a place with a lot of frills. We just serve the food and keep the tables clean. If you are in the Cantonment area, you might have seen us. We are just a local spot for a simple meal.
