GAD Restaurant (The Gateway Hotel)

GAD Restaurant is located inside The Gateway Hotel over at Nadesar. If you know Varanasi, you know the Nadesar Palace Ground area is quite a spot. We’ve been here for a while now, serving people who stay at the hotel or just live nearby in 221002. It isn't a flashy place with neon signs or anything. We just have our space and we keep it clean. People usually come in for a meal because it’s convenient. Since we are on the palace grounds, there is a lot of history around the building. We don’t really talk about it much though. We just focus on the daily work. Sometimes the traffic in Varanasi is a nightmare but once you get inside the gates here it’s a bit calmer. The staff has been around for years and they know how things go. We don’t try to be something we aren't. It’s a hotel restaurant and we treat it like one. You get your table, you eat, and you go about your day. We see a lot of tourists from all over the world because of where we are. It’s interesting to see who walks through the door next. We just keep doing our thing day after day. It’s a solid routine and we like it that way. No need to change what isn't broken for us or the guests who come to visit the city.
