We have been here on Godwalia road for quite some time now. If you know Varanasi, you know how crowded this part of Meerghat gets. It’s always noisy outside with people walking towards the river and rickshaws honking every second. Our place isn't anything fancy, just a regular spot where people sit down for a meal when they are tired from roaming around. The building is older and sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but we keep the tables clean. Mostly, it’s locals who stop by, but sometimes tourists wander in looking for a place to sit. I usually spend my mornings checking the kitchen and making sure the supplies arrived okay from the market. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so we keep the doors open to let some air in. People come in, eat their food, and head back out into the crowd. We don't have a big team, just a few of us running around. Sometimes the orders take a few extra minutes when it's packed, but nobody seems to mind too much. It’s just how things go in this part of town. Meerghat has its own pace, and we’ve just become a part of the daily routine here. We don't do anything special, just serve what we have on the menu and try to get through the day. The tea is always brewing in the back and the smell of spices is everywhere.
