Thaamboolam Deluxe

You can find Thaamboolam Deluxe in the Comfort Tower right by the Udupi Courts. We’re directly opposite the Kalpana Theatre, which is how most people give directions when they want to meet up here. Since we are so close to the courts, we see a lot of lawyers, clerks, and people with business there during the day. It’s a very local, practical atmosphere. We’ve been in this building for several years now. We don't spend any money on big advertisements or fancy signs. We just rely on the fact that people know we are here. The morning starts with getting the coffee ready and making sure the kitchen is set up for the breakfast rush. Udupi is a place where people really care about what they eat, so we try to keep things consistent every day. It’s not always a quiet place, especially when the movie theatre across the street lets out or when the court is in session and everyone is in a hurry. The tables are pretty basic, and we don't have any fancy decorations on the walls. We just want people to have a place to sit down and eat something decent. The staff knows most of the regular customers by their names. It’s just a normal part of the neighborhood routine. We keep the floor swept and the water jugs filled. If you’re around the court area, we’re right there across from the cinema.
