Diana Restaurant

Diana Restaurant has been a fixture in Udupi for a long time. We are located in Jodukatte, Ajjarkad, which is right near the Big Bazar. Most people in the 576101 area have probably eaten here at least once. We started out small and just kept going as the years went by. Our place is usually full of families, especially on the weekends. We serve the kind of food that Udupi is known for, but we don't make a big deal about it. The kitchen is a busy place from early morning until we shut down at night. We don't have a corporate office or a marketing plan. We just focus on making sure the batter is ready and the coffee is strong. The building itself has some age to it, but it’s sturdy and holds a lot of memories for the local people. Sometimes you have to wait for a table, but that is just because we are right in the middle of town. Our staff works hard to keep the floors swept and the plates moving. We see the same customers day after day, coming in for their usual breakfast or a quick lunch. It is a simple life running a restaurant here. We are just happy to be a part of the daily routine for people in Ajjarkad. We keep the doors open, the tables wiped, and we do the same work tomorrow.
