Bacchus Inn Bar & Restaurant

Bacchus Inn Bar & Restaurant is situated in the Kunjibettu area, near the Laxmindra Nagar Post in Udupi. We’ve been around this part of town for a long time. It’s a place where local folks come to have a drink and grab some food after a long day of work. We aren't trying to be one of those modern lounges you see in the big cities. We just have standard tables and chairs and a bar that stays pretty busy. The atmosphere is usually quite relaxed, though it can get loud when there is a cricket match on the television. Our staff is mostly local guys who have been with us for years. We know most of the people who walk through the door. The kitchen produces simple food that goes well with a cold drink. We focus on keeping the beer cold and the food coming out steady. It’s a lot of work behind the scenes, cleaning up and stocking the shelves every morning. Udupi is a quiet place mostly, but we provide a spot for people to socialize. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. Sometimes the weather gets really hot, and our fans are working overtime. We just keep the doors open and do our best to make sure everyone who comes in has a place to sit. It’s a basic bar and restaurant, nothing more, nothing less. We’re just part of the local scene here in Kunjibettu.
