Hot N Cool

We are located in the Unnatha Residency building on the Main Road in Manipal. We are right near Syndicate Circle, so there are always lots of students and people from the university walking by. Manipal is a fast place and we try to keep up with it. Our shop isn't very large but it serves the purpose for what we do. We mostly deal with quick snacks and things that people can grab when they are in a hurry. We’ve been at this location for a few years and we know how the crowd changes throughout the day. It’s usually quiet in the mornings and then it gets very busy by the afternoon. We don't have a big corporate office or a marketing team telling us what to do. We just decide what to cook each day and we do it. The staff is just a few of us who know each other well. We spend a lot of time cleaning because the rain in Manipal brings in a lot of mud from the street. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. We don't use any promotional language or anything like that. We just provide a place where you can get something to eat and sit for a minute. Some people stay for a while to talk and others just take their food and go. We are just a regular part of the street here and we like it.
